I didn’t start as a consultant.
I started by working inside businesses — leading teams, managing performance, and being accountable for results.
That experience shapes everything I do today.
As a former Managing Director and Sales & Marketing Director within a growing business, I’ve faced the same pressures many business owners deal with:
- Making decisions without perfect information
- Balancing growth with risk
- Building teams that can deliver consistently
- Carrying responsibility for performance
That perspective matters — because the challenges you face aren’t academic.
Why I do this
Over time, I saw a consistent pattern.
Good businesses — often with strong products, loyal customers, and capable people — weren’t reaching their full potential.
Not because of a lack of effort...But because:
- Priorities weren’t always clear
- Teams weren’t fully aligned
- Important decisions were delayed or avoided
Left unchecked, those small gaps build into bigger constraints.
That’s what led me to set up P.Griffin Consulting — to help business owners cut through that complexity and move forward with confidence.

My Approach:
I offer a range of practical, value-adding services tailored to meet your business needs. This includes one-off assignments, training requests, analysis and reporting, interim support, recruitment, and team building.
I also provide phased assignments, such as strategic reviews, change management, and sales and profit initiatives. Where appropriate, I can extend to providing regular, long-term support on a retainer basis or through non-executive directorships. In these roles, my services cover long-term change implementation, ongoing leadership and strategic support, as well as business mentoring.
Experience & Background Available To You:
With a business career of over 30 years and 6 years as a management consultant, I bring a unique and comprehensive skill set developed across a range of business environments, from global corporations to private equity-backed start-ups. My background includes key roles at Mattel, where I supported major toy brands such as Fisher-Price and Barbie in key marketing and sales initiatives, and Valspar Corporation, where I led growth and operational recovery as the Guardsman Managing Director for the UK & Europe.
My experience with Daler-Rowney, a family-owned business, and Design Objectives, a start-up backed by private equity, further enhances my understanding of diverse organisational needs and dynamics.
